Liquid Damage Service: What We Can (and Can’t) Guarantee

- Turn the device off (if it’s on)
- Do not charge it
- If possible, don’t press buttons or keep trying to “see if it works”
- Bring it in as soon as you can
Liquid damage work is a cleanup + stabilization service, not a guaranteed “fix.” Depending on the device and what we find, service may include:
- Opening the device and inspecting for liquid entry points
- Cleaning corrosion and residue from affected areas
- Drying and safe handling procedures
- Basic testing to see what functions return (as conditions allow)
- Documenting what we see (so you know what happened inside the device)
Liquid damage is unpredictable. Even after a successful cleanup, corrosion can continue or hidden damage can remain.
Because of that, we can’t guarantee:- That the device will power on or stay on
- That all features will work normally (cameras, speakers, Face ID/fingerprint, charging, etc.)
- That the device won’t develop new issues later
- That data will be recoverable (data recovery depends on damage type and severity)
Liquid damage work typically does not include a warranty, because the damage is caused by corrosion and contamination—not a part defect—and the device may have ongoing internal deterioration.
If the device powers on after service, your best move is to:
- Back up immediately
- Avoid charging/using it heavily until you’ve secured your data
- “Rice will fix it.” Rice doesn’t remove corrosion and can waste critical time.
- “It’s fine because it still turns on.” Liquid damage often gets worse later as corrosion spreads.
- Best-case: cleanup restores normal function and you’re good to go (still recommended to backup).
- Worst-case: the device doesn’t recover, or it works temporarily and fails later. Either way, we’ll be straightforward about what we see and what’s realistic.
