If anything unexpected happens during troubleshooting, a backup protects your photos, contacts, and important info.
- iPhone: back up to iCloud or a computer
- Android: back up to Google, Samsung or other brand account(and/or Google Photos)
- Your device
- Charging cable (if the issue is charging/power/battery-related)
- Any parts/accessories involved (case, screen protector, etc. if they affect the problem)
- If it’s a warranty/return visit: any receipt/order info you have (helpful, not required)
You can choose what you’re comfortable with:
- If you’re okay sharing your passcode, it can help us fully test the repair.
- If you prefer not to share it, that’s fine—testing may be limited and you may need to verify certain functions at pickup.
Some services (especially replacements, trade-ins, or certain advanced troubleshooting steps) may require anti-theft features to be turned off.
- iPhone (Find My iPhone): Settings → your name → Find My → Find My iPhone → OFF
- Android (Google/Samsung anti-theft / FRP): We’ll guide you based on your phone model
5) Remove accessories that can interfere
- Remove thick cases if they block ports or buttons
- If you have a damaged screen protector, let us know (it can affect touch testing)
If your device needs a factory reset, you’ll need your login afterward to set it back up. If you don’t know it, we can still do the repair—but you may be locked out of the device until you recover the account.
7) If it’s liquid damage: power it off!!If your device got wet:
- Turn it off
- Don’t charge it
- Bring it in as soon as you can
If you can, book an appointment—it helps us reserve time and prep parts when possible. Walk-ins are welcome too.
