What Impacts Cost

Last Update sebulan yang lalu
Repair pricing can vary even for the same type of repair (like a screen or battery). Here are the most common factors that impact the final cost, and how we keep everything transparent.
1) Device make/model (and version)
Different models use different parts and different repair procedures.
2) Part quality and availability
We'll recommend the best option for your device and budget.
3) Hidden damage (found during inspection)
A device can have damage that isn't visible until we open it or test it.
Common examples:
If we find something that changes the price, we'll confirm the updated total with you before continuing.
4) Liquid exposure / corrosion
Liquid damage can create multiple issues and can affect long-term reliability.
5) Prior repairs or aftermarket parts
If a device has been repaired before, we may see:
This can increase labor time or change which parts are needed.
6) Multiple issues at once
Sometimes one symptom is caused by more than one failure.
Examples:
7) Service type (in-shop vs on-site)
On-site service can include additional fees (travel/time) compared to in-shop repairs.
Our promise: no surprise work

1) Device make/model (and version)
Different models use different parts and different repair procedures.
- Newer or higher-end models typically cost more
- Some models require more labor time due to design
2) Part quality and availability
We'll recommend the best option for your device and budget.
- Some devices have multiple part grades available
- If a part is not in stock, it may need to be special-ordered
3) Hidden damage (found during inspection)
A device can have damage that isn't visible until we open it or test it.
Common examples:
- Bent frame (can prevent a new screen from seating correctly)
- Internal damage from impact
- Loose/missing screws or prior repair issues
If we find something that changes the price, we'll confirm the updated total with you before continuing.
4) Liquid exposure / corrosion
Liquid damage can create multiple issues and can affect long-term reliability.
- Cleaning and corrosion treatment may be needed
- Some parts may be damaged even if the device powers on
5) Prior repairs or aftermarket parts
If a device has been repaired before, we may see:
- Incorrect parts installed previously
- Adhesive/seal issues
- Missing shields/screws
This can increase labor time or change which parts are needed.
6) Multiple issues at once
Sometimes one symptom is caused by more than one failure.
Examples:
- Charging issues caused by a port problem and battery wear
- Display issues caused by a screen problem and internal connector damage
7) Service type (in-shop vs on-site)
On-site service can include additional fees (travel/time) compared to in-shop repairs.
8) Diagnostic/bench fees (for unknown issues)
If the issue isn’t clear yet (no power, not charging, random restarts, etc.), a bench fee may apply to cover diagnosis time. If you proceed with a repair, that fee is credited toward the final total. See: Upfront Payment Policy.
Our promise: no surprise work
