Data Recovery Options

3 Service Levels

If you need photos, contacts, texts, or important files back, we offer a few levels of data recovery depending on what condition your device is in. The goal is to choose the lowest-risk, most cost-effective option that has a real chance of success.

Before we start (quick expectations)
  • Data recovery success depends heavily on device condition (especially liquid damage).
  • We do not permanently keep copies of your data.
  • If your device has liquid damage, recovery may be limited or not possible.
Level 1: Plug-and-Play Recovery (basic)

Best for: devices that still power on and connect normally.

What we do:
  • Attempt recovery using normal connection methods (charging port / computer connection)
  • Pull accessible data (when possible), such as photos/files
Typical price: $49.99
Level 2: Screen Testing Recovery (moderate)

Best for: devices that power on but can’t be used normally because the screen is damaged.

What we do:
  • Use a known-good screen (or test setup) to get the device usable long enough to access data
  • Attempt backup/transfer once the device is functional enough to navigate
Typical price: $59.99
Level 3: Full Disassembly Recovery (advanced)

Best for: devices that require internal access to attempt recovery (hardware-level troubleshooting).

What we do:
  • Open the device and attempt deeper recovery steps
  • This is used when simpler options aren’t possible
Typical price: $74.99
Important limitations (please read)
  • Liquid damage: If there’s water/corrosion damage, success rates drop. Some devices may not be recoverable.
  • No guarantees: Data recovery is a “best effort” service because failures can be caused by internal damage we can’t reverse.
  • Security locks: If the device is locked and you don’t know the passcode, recovery may not be possible.
Best tip: stop using the device

If you’re trying to recover data, avoid:

  • Rebooting repeatedly
  • Charging if there’s liquid exposure
  • Installing apps/updates Those actions can make recovery harder.

Advanced / outsourced recovery options (extreme cases)

In some cases—especially severe liquid damage, corrosion, or other board-level failures—standard recovery methods may not be enough.

If we determine your device needs a higher-level recovery attempt, we can discuss outsourced board-level recovery options through trusted specialists. These services typically:
    • Start around $250+
    • Have longer turnaround times
    • Still may not be successful (depending on damage)
If you want to pursue this route, we’ll explain what we found, what the realistic odds are, and what the next steps would look like before anything is sent out.
